Appearance of the Kansai trio from the famous JO1!
JO1 who released their first album on November 25th. They will look back on 2020 which was their first year since formation!
Appearance of Kawanishi Takumi, Ohira Shosei and Kinjo Sukai from the 11 members boys group JO1 who come from Kansai!
Please tell us the charm of the awaited album “The STAR” which is released on November 25th.
Takumi: All songs that JO1 have released until now are included! Connected with the title “The STAR” the words “star” and “shining” are included in the lyrics.
Shosei: For “Shine A Light“ we are performing the star dance in which we compare both hands to stars. Because we powered up our performances more than before, I will be happy if you can also enjoy the choreography of the dance while listening to the album.
Sukai: Included are songs from the first single until the newest songs, so I think you might be able to feel a change in the way of singing. Especially if you listen to the 5 new songs in comparison, you can enjoy our growth.

On December 11th you reached 1 year since the formation. Compared to the time you’ve met, is there an aspect that your impression of another member has changed?
Shosei: Everyone has changed. In the beginning everyone waited and looked, but during this year we came to understand each other. The mood is good and we can relax.
Takumi: Sho well, he became JO1’s leader and he has the consciousness to bring the team together.
Sukai: The very first member I got along with was Shion. As we are living together, the degree to which I think he‘s an unusual and interesting person has increased -laughs-

Looking back at 2020, what kind of year was it? Also, is there something you want to challenge in 2021?
Shosei: In a blink of an eye (the year has passed).
Takumi: There were hard times, but I could make various experiences and it passed fast.
Shosei: We could also do a lot of jobs. I think we could spend a rich time so that we can do activities as JO1 for many years.
Sukai: It was fun to be able to spend each day like I never experienced before. But we couldn’t do the activities like it was planned at the time of the debut, so there is also regret.
Takumi: Lives became online lives sadly. Everyone of JO1 wants to perform in front of all fans. We want to make this true in 2021, so we will do this with even more power!

Something you want to tell the fans?
Sukai: Did you listen to our album that is packed with the individuality of the 11 of us? I’m happy that the chances when attention is payed to us, have increased thanks to all of you.
Takumi: Thank you for always supporting us. I‘m doing activities in the world I’ve dreamed of and every day is fun. If you can have a good time while listening to the album I will be happy.
Shosei: everyone in Kansai, I’m home. Kansai is fun. We are giving our best to do more activities in Kansai, so please continue to support us!

What is your recommended song from The STAR?
Sukai: I like “MONSTAR” which is featured on the limited edition Blue and the regular edition. The emotional melody is impressive and I’m singing it with passion.
Takumi: “Shine A Light” became a refreshing number. The highlight is of course the majestic MV but also the performance that connects the members.
Shosei: “Safety Zone” that carries the concept of “next to me is the safest place!” The strong and sexy melody and performance is a must-see!
