Is there a memorable episode from the filming?
Kijima Asuka: The filming was in Shizuoka and took about a week, but I commuted there from Tokyo everyday which was a little hard. But Kawashiri-san and Sakuragi-san and all other actors got along well and the good atmosphere at the filming site had been fun 🤍Kawashiri-san and Sakuragi-san especially seemed to have found a kindred spirit in each other… (laughs) Also, I was happy about the filming style since the director was very kind and listened to my ideas and the ones of the other actors as we proceed, which made me feel we had made this episode together.

What was your impression of JO1’s Kawashiri-san who acted for the first time?
Kijima: It is “Soft, sensitive & serious!” He seems cool when he sings and dances during his activities with JO1, but when you actually meet him he is someone really soft which honestly surprised me.
What’s more, at the first rehearsal, besides that the script was still temporary, Kawashiri-san had all his lines memorised! Hence, I felt that he is someone who is very sincere regarding this work. Kazuhiko, who he played, is also very sensitive and serious. It was indeed a perfect match to Kawashiri-san’s personality.
It was interesting to think how hard he worked on it and when I looked over to him during the breaks of the filming, it was like his body was moving on its own and he was dancing, which was interesting. It was fun to watch somehow♪ I thought “Ah, he is dancing” while sneakingly watching him. He also got along well with Sakuragi Nachi-san who played Toshio-kun and they also exchanged their contact details. They even promised “Once the situation has settled down (TN: the pandemic has ended) , let’s go drinking together!” (laughs)
