Kawashiri Ren focus

Speaking of the centerpiece of the JO1 EXHIBITION, how was the shooting with the art make up?
Ren: I feel they thought of each member’s very own image. In my case it might be the image of the Prince of Darkness. The eye make up looks like tears and it has both strength and tenderness. I think it could be that image.

This time it is an exhibition as JO1 but if you did one on your own what would you like to do?

Ren: When I was a middle school student I think? I went to the Okinawa-Churaumi-Aquarium in Okinawa.
Sho: The Churaumi!!
Ren: Yes. Before that I didn’t really have the chance to visit an aquarium, so it was the first time I went and it was very impressive. All the different kinds of fishes, like squids.
Syoya: The squids were love in the first sight? (Laughs)
Ren: (Laughs) There were small tanks for each kind of fish but also very huge ones. When I saw the huge tanks I was so impressed. They reminded me of a social structure with the small, weak fishes forming schools to look strong and the huge ones swimming gracefully and full of confidence. I would like to do this.
Sho: With people?
Ren: Yes this!
