What are OWV's Nakagawa Katsunari's essential habits for detoxing?
The popular boys group OWV released their 1st album Chaser on October 13th! To celebrate the release, the 4 members reappear on CLASSY.ONLINE in a fluffy knit style. With the keyword of “well being” (= the state of both your mind and body being healthy and fulfilled) the talk unfolded. The second member is the all rounder Nakagawa Katsunari who charms with his smooth raps and vocals.

What comes into your mind when you hear “well being” meaning that both your mind and body are healthy and fulfilled?
Soaking in the bath! I fill up the tub with lukewarm water and when I stay long it’s for about 2 hours, watching videos while soaking. But of course I get wrinkled by this (laughs) I will sweat and it also detoxes your body. It relaxes your muscles, so when you stretch after getting out of the bath, it’s even better for the body. There are only good things about bathing.

Do you have any beauty TIPS regarding “well being”?
My skin is really thin, so my skin gets irritated easily. I’ve heard that it’s hard for men living alone to get the necessary daily nutrients, hence I take a daily vitamin supplement that was prescribed by my dermatologist. Also, When I buy something to drink, I keep in mind to choose something that reduces the absorption of fat and that is healthy. By believing that my aesthetic sense is high, I hope that has a good influence on other things, too.

About 1 year has passed since the debut. Has your mind changed since working on that piece of work?
I’m the type who gets nervous super easily. At the time of the shooting of the MV for the debut single “UBA UBA”, I think I was quite stiff. I ended up thinking that if I get a dance move wrong once, I didn't know what to do when it happened again.. and I got more and more impatient which caused mistakes again. The relationship with the members was still not that deep, so I have to admit that there were times when I felt guilty for making a lot of mistakes. One year since the debut. The relationship of trust with the members has deepened and the more MV shootings happened, so I think I’ve matured to the point that I can change the nervous feeling of being on the scene into one to improve my performance. For the MV of the lead track “CHASER”, I feel like I did a good job with managing my facial expressions, so please check it out!

What are your recommended points of the other members in the 1st album?
Shuta raps in “Slam Dog”. Since before he said “I want to try rapping!”, but as the main vocalist, he is often in charge of the high tone parts and other members are entrusted with the rap parts. This song is pretty much just made of rapping and finally Shuta makes his rap debut! I’m happy when the members ask me about rap techniques and Shuta also came to ask me. I’m happy to be relied on and that he seeked advice proactively (laughs)! Typically for Shuta he absorbed it quickly and it’s a song that shows a new side of him, so I hope ypou will listen to it!
For Fumiya, it’s the song “Question” which is a soft track which kind of sucks you in. It’s a really good song that matches Fumiya’s fragile and brassy voice. It’s my favourite song of the 1st album, so I listen to it on repeat.
Aniki has become much better in rapping compared to the time of the debut. I think you can express yourself freely when you rap, depending on the tone of your voice, the way you add an accent and what kind of expression you want to show. What I feel by watching from the side is that Honda-kun has a good intuition and he has gotten the hang of something and awakened it regarding rapping. you will pay attention to the key points of his rapping and listen to it!
